At Figue, we believe in the power of giving back and that even the smallest acts of kindness can make the world a better place. Whether supporting access to education for children in underdeveloped countries, sourcing from and employing artisans around the world or protecting the animal kingdom at home and abroad, we are committed to making a positive impact in any way we can.
Our designs are inspired and shaped by the remarkable artisans who practice traditional techniques throughout the world. From a community of women leather specialists in Marrakech to a men's sewing circle in India to a cooperative of knitters in the mountains of Bolivia, our travels offer us the privilege of working with some of the most talented craftspeople today.
The Brave Collection
Founder and designer Jessica Hendricks established The Brave Collection, a line of jewelry handmade in Cambodia, with two things in mind: to promote awareness about the ongoing crisis of human trafficking and empower Cambodian artists post-genocide. Her collection serve as tokens of courage, with each piece woven and carved by hand – and all bearing the word "Klahan" (Klaa-han) which means "Brave" in "Khmer" (Khem-eye), the language of Cambodia. For each piece sold, a donation of 10% goes to Brave's non-profit partners who work to support survivors. thebravecollection.com

The Ethiopian Children's Fund (ECF)
Founded by Anna Getaneh -- an international model of Ethiopian-descent who once walked the catwalks of Yves Saint Laurent and Chanel — The Ethiopian Children's Fund is a not-for-profit program for underprivileged children offering schooling, a family clinic, vocational training and nutritional services in Aleltu, Ethiopia. Since opening in 1999, The ECF has reached 714 children between the ages of 4 and 20 from the surrounding village, most of whom are orphans and would not otherwise have access to education. In January 2014, Anna invited her friend Stephanie to show the Figue collection in her annual African Mosaique Fashion Show in Addis Ababa, celebrating African fashion and raising donations to directly support The ECF's continued growth.
The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust
The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust was established in 1977 to protect Kenya's wildlife and honor the vision and memory of naturalist David Leslie William Sheldrick MBE, founder of the Tsavo National Park in Kenya. It is the Trust's mission to provide critical assistance for the rescue and rehabilitation of orphaned elephants and rhinos. Additionally, the Trust runs community outreach, veterinary services and educational programs. As part of our commitment to the legacy of David Sheldrick, Figue is donating 30% of every Flying Canvas Elephant Tote and Flying Elephant Pouch and over 20% of every Flying Elephant iPad Case sold to the Trust.
